Sam Altman and OpenAI are now openly arguing that your rights to your own content shouldn't matter in their quest for profit and digital immortality.

Main character syndrome is Gen Z slang for someone who either acts like, or actually is, a narcissist who sees themselves as the focus of attention in every situation. And what better way to describe Sam Altman and his fellow AI tech bros who are refusing to even entertain the idea that other people may have rights and own things too? In their quest to build a Ghost In The Shell style cyberpunk dystopia, they’re now in UK courts, arguing that they have the right to use copyrighted content to train their LLMs on the ground that… they really need and want that content.
