Unfortunately, thanks to the original sin of the internet, social media was doomed to become what it has today: a place where the loudest, most radical, most divisive, and most incendiary voices get the most attention and have the most incentive to keep going. Even worse, the companies running social platforms are doubling down on the strategy of welcoming humanity’s worst trolls with open arms.
